EPIC needs judges!

EPIC needs some judges. I've been doing this for years. It's not difficult and it is a great way to discover new authors.

FOR JUDGES:
Call out from EPIC, the Electronic Publishing Industry Coalition™:

EPIC eBook Award Competition™ is looking for industry professional judges:
published authors, publishers, and/or editors. If you are interested,
please go to: http://bitly. com/eBookJudging and complete the form. If you
are an author and enter the competition, you will not be assigned to judge
in any categories you enter. You will be contacted during the last two weeks
of May to confirm your continued judging availability. EPIC thanks you in
advance for your willingness to participate.
EPIC’s eBook Award Competition™ opens June 1 and closes July 15. The time
frames for judging are:
Preliminary Round judging, June 5 through July 22
First Round judging, July 27 through September 7.
Final Round of judging, September 17 through October 12.

Thank you for your interest,
Debi Sullivan

Promoting eBooks

While visiting another blog, I read where an author was frustrated because they didn't know how to promote their eBook. Nothing to sign etc. So I'm throwing it out to all of you. If you have your book out as an eBook, how have you promoted it?

Or, what is your opinion on eBooks?

Have you read one? How? Do you have an e-reader? Which one? Would you read an eBook?

On another list I saw where eBooks are having an anniversary. They been around now for 40 years. So I think maybe they are here to stay.

I read my first eBook at least twelve years ago on a Rocket reader. I loved that old reader. It had a backlight so when the lights went out I could still read. Now I have A Sony, and have been thinking about moving up to one that can does color.

Anyone here tried the Literati? I've seen one at Kohles.

Friday I am speaking to some sixth graders about being an author. I'm sure the subject of eBooks will come up.

Meltdown

Randolph and I have started the sequel to Ice, Meltdown. It's exciting to begin a new adventure with Darcie and Morgan. To this one we've added Gail Crane and Duke, the man with no memory.

Gail is Darcie's FBI friend, we mentioned in Ice.

Oh, I should say that Chalet is looking at Ice. Cross your fingers for us please.

I've been thinking about branding and marketing. What works or hasn't worked for you?

Turned hot here that past couple of days, but this morning's starting out on the cool side.

This Thursday I do my Blog Talk Radio show. I Believe it's going to be a great show. It's at an earlier time, 9:00 AM Pacific Time since one of my guests joins us from Israel. Eva has written some outstanding
books on women from the Bible.

My other guest is Johnny Tan who has written a book all about a mother's love.

Drop by and listen if you can. If not the show is always archived.

I belong to EPIC, Electronically Published Internet Connection. They have an eBook contest each year. I'm excited to be entering A Spiral of Echoes. It's been awhile since I've had a book out to enter.

I Believe that all I have to say for now.
